Ohio Supreme Court Justice Melody Stewart talks about the death penalty, bail bond reform, efficienc

NEW PHILADELPHIA One of the Ohio Supreme Court's newest justices believes the institution should "tighten things up and make things better" in the state's judicial system.

In a news conference Monday, Justice Melody J. Stewart mentioned the death penalty, bail bond reform and efficient handling of civil cases as topics that need to be addressed.

"I think our justice system can improve in a lot of ways." she told reporters at the Tuscarawas County Courthouse. "I think we can be more responsive to the communities that we serve. I think that where justice is served shouldn't depend on which county you're in in Ohio.
